SOWETO TOURS
Take a tour in a taxi you are welcomed by your smiling taxi driver in soweto and tour guide as well as the lure of a cooler box packed full of beer, ciders, coolers, cold dinks and waters. Perhaps a Red Bull to get into the right frame of mind. On the way a little history lesson on Soweto and its origins as well as pumping Soweto taxi style beats and the sound of the Vuvuzela randomly trumpeting towards the soweto venue.

Places visited : Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Bara Rank taxi rank formed as a result of the hospital being there, here you can see up to 8000 taxis, open air butchery's, hair dressers, clothing stalls and other amenities on site. From here we proceed to Mathula's inn

VILKAZI STREET: Winnie Mandela's house

THE SHACK: A stone's throw from Mandela's house is Deon's place "The Shack" the zinc shack behind the face brick houses a pool table, out side under shade cloth modest tables and car seat chairs create a quaint setting, the DJ provides the beats for you to let go in the open air dance floor.
WANDIES PLACE :The world renowned restaurant, Wandies Place, has been visited by Sir Richard Branson, Christina Aguilera and Brad Pitt offers African cuisine including pap, chakalaka, dombolo(steamed bread), moroga(spinach), tripe and delicious more recognizable dishes such as boerewors and lamb stew.
BRA PAT'S PLACE:A true Shebeen, disguised as a spaza shop, selling bread milk and other daily necessities. Through a side entrance and around to the back of the property you will find "the train" so called because of its seating arrangement. Here you will get the chance to sample Jo'burg beer out of a carton and share with the locals the experience of a shebeen. Then it off to the final venue,

The Rock:The suburb of Rockville is host to this amazingly upmarket nightclub that would not be out of place in the middle of Sandton. Here you can enjoy a drink at the ice bar, a unique concept developed by the owner Tebogo. On the roof of the venue is an open air dance floor where you will see our traditional dancers performing, watch a majestic sunset and reflect on your experience.

When you are all partied out we will take you back to the point where it all began and your Soweto Tour will be complete, there is no doubt that you will crawl slowly like a crocodile into bed and that your heart will be touched by the experience.
